Temperature and Humidity Monitoring for Mushroom Cultivation

Temperature and humidity play an important role in making sure your mushroom cultivation is a success. Therefore, you can set several BlueTag TH20 Bluetooth temperature and humidity data loggers in several rooms to monitor these environmental conditions.

When cultivating edible mushrooms, certain climatic conditions must be observed to ensure a maximum yield of the highest quality. From compost preparation through the growth phase to harvesting the mushrooms, it is important to ensure the optimum temperature and humidity levels. The challenge for mushroom growers and system managers is to measure and control these climate parameters as precisely as possible. Wireless temperature and humidity sensor need to be selected which perform reliably and accurately under continuous high humidity levels and a high prevalence of fungal spores.

Different mushroom types have different suggested climates: Oyster mushroom thrives in temperature of 55-60 degrees, and 80% humidity; Button mushrooms, temperature of 75-77 degrees Fahrenheit for mycelium growth then once the mycelium is fully formed temperature range should be 53-60 degrees & 90% for air humidity level; For straw mushrooms it’s 95 degrees wherein growth can occur between 59-113. Humidity must be at 80% and increased to 90% when fruiting bodies start to grow. Mushroom growing under improper environmental conditions will spark these issues: High temperature with high humidity, oyster mushrooms may develop small, lighter colored caps with a depression in the middle; High temperature with low humidity causes the caps to become thin, brittle and umbrella-shaped with a thick stipe/mushroom stem; Low temperature with high humidity causes strong color and strong fruiting bodies, but in reduced numbers; Low temperatures with low humidity levels causes a dark-colored cap and thick or swollen stipe and fewer fruiting bodies.

It is important to have a temperature and humidity data logger that can track both humidity and temperature inside the mushroom cultivation room. With Bluetooth communication technology, Freshliance BlueTag TH20 bluetooth temperature and humidity monitor helps monitor the real-time temperature and humidity of the environment in which the device is located. Freshliance BlueTag TH20 bluetooth temperature and humidity sensor enables data visibility for monitoring and inspection by its LCD display. Besides, after downloading our T-Keeper APP in the Google Store and connecting the logger to the APP, you can view real-time and historical information on it. The abnormal alarm can also be set to well cultivate mushrooms, allowing timely response to unexpected situations. With BlueTag TH20 temperature and humidity data logger, you can set the min and max values of both temperature and humidity and on the App, you can see if the values are below or beyond the proper range. Since you can grow different types of mushrooms and they can be in different growth stages, you can set several BlueTag TH20 bluetooth thermometer in several rooms. With T-Keeper App you can sync as many BlueTag TH20 temperature and humidity data loggers as you want and track them on the App.
