Grain storage has always been a complex and important issue. During the grain storage period, the main cause of serious loss is due to changes in climate, environment, and ventilation conditions, which lead to changes in the temperature and humidity inside the granary, resulting in gas and microorganisms that are not conducive to grain storage. Excessive moisture, high temperature, and poor grain condition, insects or damaged kernels, are generally considered the most important factors that lead to problems with stored grain.

Grain storage temperature and humidity conditions are critical. Grain should be stored at cool temperatures, between 55 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Grain that is too warm will germinate, which will result in lower quality and decreased storage life. Grain should be stored at low humidity levels, between 10 and 15 percent. Grain that is too humid will rot and develop mold. Its essential to monitor the temperature and humidity of grain and watch for changing trends, on a regular basis, giving the manager the best chance to make a correction when a temperature or humidity change is occurring, preserving good quality in grain. Knowing the temperature and humidity of the grain also makes it possible for the fans to be run only when they are needed, saving money on utilities.

Our aim is to provide innovative technologies to monitor and protect your harvest. Freshliance COEUS-WIFI wireless temperature and humidity data loggers adopt IoT technology, which can be applied to grain management. Multiple wireless temperature and humidity monitors, the gateway, and the platform constitute a granary temperature and humidity monitoring system. Based on temperature and humidity sensors, the system uses big data analysis technology to realize the functions of data display, data storage and intelligent early warning through the cloud platform, so that food management is no longer only dependent on reports and manual detection, but directly controlling the immediate changes in the on-site grain situation in the control room to ensure food security. If the granary is large, the wiring method will become very cumbersome. The use of Freshliance COEUS-WIFI wireless temperature humidity data logger can avoid the trouble of wiring. Data can be directly uploaded to the cloud platform on mobile phones and other devices. The terminal can also view data directly.
