You need to keep many foods within a safe temperature range to prevent bacteria growth. Perishable foods may become unsafe to eat if stored at temperatures above 40℉ (4.4℃). Perishable foods include products like seafood, poultry, meat, eggs, dairy, and cooked leftovers. These foods must be stored under a certain temperature to keep you safe.
