The storage temperature required for Moderna's Covid-19 vaccine is -20℃; 


The Pfizer’s vaccine can be stored in an ultra-low temperature freezer at -70℃ for 6 months, in a special insulated transport box for dry ice for 15 days, and in the hospital refrigerator at 2-8℃ only for 5 days.


The more stringent temperature requirements lead to vaccine wastage will easily occur at all legs of the supply system—during storage, transport, and administration. Vaccines can be affected by temperatures outside of their recommended storage and transport temperatures.
