Temperature requirements for different greenhouses Intelligent Bluetooth HACCP temperature and humidity data logger
This article gives an overview of the temperature requirements of different greenhouses. The cold greenhouse: The ideal temperature for a cold greenhouse is between 10 and 15°C. As this is an unheated greenhouse, its temperature can be negative in winter and over 35°C in summer! In this greenhouse, plants are protected from bad weather, wind, rain or snow: the most important thing in winter is that the temperature remains warmer inside the greenhouse than outside. Your vegetables and plants can still benefit from the natural light and warmth of the sun, helping them to grow frost-free. In terms of crops and plants, here's what you can grow in a cold greenhouse:
- hardy vegetables and fruit, such as radishes, cauliflower, broccoli, lettuce, tomatoes and spinach.
- exotic plants and certain cacti
As the cold greenhouse has no temperature regulation system, it is essential to be able to "shade and aerate" it to avoid too great a rise in temperature and the development of disease.
The temperate greenhouse: Ideal for fruit, vegetables and plants that can't stand low temperatures in winter, the temperate greenhouse must not fall below 5°C. In contrast to the cold greenhouse, you'll need to install a supplementary heating system in order to avoid negative temperatures in certain regions. The temperate greenhouse is perfect for cacti, orangery plants (oranges, lemons, mandarins, etc.), non-tropical exotic plants or plants of Mediterranean origin, as well as bulbous plants (garlic, shallots, daffodils, etc.).
The lukewarm greenhouse: With a temperature that's fairly easy to maintain in winter, the lukewarm greenhouse should offer an environment above 15°C. In some regions, however, this means installing an efficient heating system that will remain in operation for several months at a time. Suitable for most garden fruits and vegetables, the warm greenhouse can also accommodate exotic plants that need to rest during the winter.
When it comes to monitoring greenhouse temperatures, BlueTag TH20 is an intelligent Bluetooth HACCP temperature and humidity data logger based on Bluetooth communication technology. This Bluetooth temperature logger offers a temperature range from -30°C to +70°C. It comes with up to 65,000 measurement values with real temperature and humidity display. This HACCP temperature sensor is commonly used in a variety of industries to monitor ambient temperature. With the Bluetooth application supplied by our company, you can quickly and precisely adjust the various product parameters. The Bluetooth connection via app allows you to read temperature data via your phone's app. The Bluetooth temperature monitor is CE, CE-RED certified and complies with EN12830 for the transport, storage and distribution of foodstuffs.
