Temperature and Humidity Monitoring in Cheese Production
Freshliance COEUS-WIFI wireless temperature and humidity data logger can measure the climatic conditions for your cheese production accurately and thus ensure stable climate control.
The cheese was born around 4000 years ago when people started to breed animals and process their milk. Cheese’s tasty flavor and nutrition have earned consumers’ favor. Cheese manufacturers introduce several flavored cheese products, including pepper, garlic, red chili, etc., which cater to the different tastes and preferences of consumers globally. In the cheese production process, its ripening requires certain and stable climatic conditions without major fluctuations. Otherwise, it will cause visual defects, taste deviations or excessive water loss of cheese.
The general production flow for making cheese is as follows: standardize and pasteurize the milk, pump the milk to the vat, inoculate the vat with starter culture, coagulate the milk, cut the curd, cook the curd (depending on the cheese), drain the curd. The stage of curing(ripening) is key to the development of a cheese’s characteristic flavor, texture, and aroma. The proper humidity, temperature, and oxygen levels must be maintained for the cheese to age as desired. Curing temperatures range from 35-50°F and humidity levels range from 80-95%. The curing process can take weeks, months, or years depending on the type of cheese. The FDA regulation requires that most cheese and cheese products be made from pasteurized milk. There are a limited number of cheese varieties that can be made with raw milk. For these varieties, curing is required for at least 60 days at no less than 35° F. For fresh cheese varieties, the 60-day aging rule is not allowed.
Freshliance COEUS-WIFI wireless temperature and humidity data logger can be deployed in various sections of the facility’s block storage area to ensure optimal temperature conditions for successful ageing of cheeses. You can view temperature and humidity data across all the various areas that you were concerned with from its large Lcd screen and mobile APP directly. Through the backstage, you can manage these wireless temperature and humidity sensors. The collected data can be graphed and analysed very quickly and be generated as irreversible reports. Wireless temperature sensors were the perfect solution as these compact, battery-powered devices that are used for continuous monitoring of temperature provide excellent accuracy and reduce the risk of loss. The wireless temperature logger represented a quick and cost effective fix to a critical climate control problem. Our COEUS-WIFI wireless temperature and humidity data loggers can be your ideal choice for temperature and humidity monitoring in cheese production.
